Sanscartier/Caron finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sanscartier/Caron defeated Valerie Tanguay/Raphael Charbonneau (Saguenay, QC) 8-6, then won 9-2 against Veronique Bouchard/Jean-Francois Charest (Saguenay, QC) and 9-0 against Fortin/Descoteaux in their final qualifying round match.
