Tahli Gill/Dean Hewitt (Brisbane, AUS) won 6-4 over Pia-Lisa Schoell/Joshua Sutor (Fuessen, GER) in the Final of the Mixed Doubles Bern, held October 17 - 19 in Bern, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Gill/Hewitt won 7-6 over Marie Kaldvee/Harri Lill (Tallinn, EST) in the semifinals of the Mixed Doubles Bern in Bern, Switzerland; and won 10-4 over Kristin Moen Skaslien/Magnus Nedregotten (Oslo, NOR) in the quarterfinals. of the Mixed Doubles Bern in Bern, Switzerland;
Gill/Hewitt finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gill/Hewitt defeated Jana Hoffmann/Nathan Dryburgh (Morges, SUI) 10-3, then won 12-6 against Eilin Kjaerland/Mathias Braenden (Lillehammer, NOR) and 6-2 against Chiaki Matsumura/Yasumasa Tanida (Nagano/Hokkaido, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Mixed Doubles Bern Championship title, Gill/Hewitt earned 42.000 world rankings points along with the $5,324CDN first prize cheque. For week 13 of the event schedule, Gill/Hewitt did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 2nd place on the World Ranking Standings with 198.400 total points. Gill/Hewitt ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 46.000 points earned so far this season.
