Can Dunstone Three-Peat?
![]() Maniotba's Matt Dunstone is at the Henderson Metal Fall Classic presented by Kioti Tractors of Ontario in Sault Ste. Marie this week. By Connor Simms, Continuing to climb the World Rankings, Matt Dunstone, with Colton Lott at third, and E.J. Harnden and Ryan Harnden on the front end, are on a roll, sitting at #2. After a hot start to the season with a win a the AMJ Masters and a second-place finish this past weekend at the Co-Op Tour Challenge in Nisku, Alberta, Dunstone continues to build for a dream run at the Canadian Olympic Trials in November. This week, they are at the Henderson Metal Fall Classic presented by Kioti Tractors of Ontario in Sault Ste. Marie. Matt, Colton and Ryan hold a 13 wins and 0 losses record in 2 appearances at this event. Last season, they defeated Switzerland's Marco Hoesli in the final. This week's event features an 18-team, triple-knockout format. Two teams will qualify from the A-side, and three from the B/C-side. The playoffs will then consist of a regular 8-team, single-elimination round. In their opening game, Dunstone will face the winner of Nathan Young (St. Johns, NL) vs Jordan Chandler (Little Current, NO) in draw 2 at 2:00 pm Eastern Time (ET). In the other Draw 2 action, Chase Sinnett (Chaska, MN) will face Dustin Kalthoff (Saskatoon, SK), Shinya Abe (Sapporo, JPN) will face Evan Van Amsterdam (Edmonton, AB) and John Epping (Sudbury, NO) will face the winner of Sandy MacEwen (Sudbury, NO) vs JC Beecroft (Sault Ste.
