Brad Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) finished 5-2 in the 27-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Heidt defeated
Lowell Peterman (Red Deer, AB, CAN) 8-5, then went on to lose 7-6 against Randy Bryden (Regina, SK). Heidt responded with a 9-4 win over Steve Petryk (Calgary, AB). Heidt went on to lose 7-3 against Chris Schille (Edmonton, AB). Heidt responded with a 7-2 win over Tom Buchy (Kimberley, BC). Heidt won 7-5 against Jason Ackerman (regina, SK), then won 8-5 against Warren Hassall (Lloydminster, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Heidt earned 8.250 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic. For week of the event schedule, Heidt did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Heidt ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
