To advance to the championship game, Homan won 8-2 over Jo-Ann Rizzo (Brantford, ON) in the semifinals of the 2009 AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic in Brockville, Ontario;
 
Homan finished 5-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan defeated Carrie Lindner (Bradford, ON) 7-2, then won 10-4 against Jenn Hanna (Ottawa, ON) and 6-3 against Debbie McCormick (Rio, WI). Homan won 7-3 against Joelle Belley (Thurso, PQ), then won 7-6 against Bingyu Wang (Harbin, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic Championship title, Homan earned 19.040 world rankings points along with the $5,500CDN first prize cheque. For week of the event schedule, Homan did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Homan ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
