In their opening game, Rizzo lost 8-2 to Marie-France Larouche (Etchemin, PQ), droppimg another game, 6-5 to Eve Belisle (Montreal, PQ) where Rizzo responded with a 6-5 win over Robyn Mattie (Ottawa, ON). Rizzo won 9-3 against Patti Lank (Niagara Falls, NY), then won 5-4 against Allison Ross (Ormstown, PQ) in their final qualifying round match.

Rizzo earned 9.520 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic.
