Ross finished 5-2 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ross defeated Andrey Drozdov (Moscow, RUS) 7-6, then won 4-2 against Appelman. Ross went on to lose 6-4 against Wade White (Edmonton, AB). Ross responded with a 8-2 win over Scott Egger (Brooks, AB). Ross went on to lose 7-2 against Japan's Yusuke Morozumi. Ross responded with a 6-4 win over Colin Tanton (Edmonton, AB). Ross won 5-4 against Randy Bryden (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Ross earned 8.250 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic. For week of the event schedule, Ross did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Ross ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
