Matchett finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Matchett defeated Cory Heggestad (Barrie, ON) 6-3, then won 7-5 against Dennis Moretto (Toronto, ON) and 6-4 against Kirk Ziola (London, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the KW Fall Classic Championship title, Matchett earned 20.640 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN first prize cheque. For week of the event schedule, Matchett did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Matchett ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
