King finished 4-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, King lost 6-5 to Karallee Swabb (Edmonton, AB), then responded with a 9-4 win over Lisa Johnson (Edmonton, AB). King won 11-3 against Nicole Blenkin (Calgary, AB), then won 9-1 against Crystal Webster (Calgary, AB) and 6-3 against China's Xindi Zhang in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the September Shoot-Out Championship title, King earned 21.600 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque. For week of the event schedule, King did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. King ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
