King finished 4-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, King lost 6-5 to Karallee Swabb (Edmonton, AB), then responded with a 9-4 win over Lisa Johnson (Edmonton, AB). King won 11-3 against Nicole Blenkin (Calgary, AB), then won 9-1 against Crystal Webster (Calgary, AB) and 6-3 against China's Xindi Zhang in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the September Shoot-Out Championship title, King earned 21.600 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque. For week of the event schedule, King did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
