Moe Meguro (Karuizawa, JPN) won 5-3 over Cheryl Bernard (Calgary, AB) in the Final of the Twin Anchors Invitational, held October 2 - 5, 2009 at the Vernon Curling Club in Vernon, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Meguro won 5-4 over Kelly Scott (Kelowna, BC) in the semifinals of the 2009 Twin Anchors Invitational in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada; and won 6-3 over British Columbia's Allison MacInnes in the quarterfinals. of the 2009 Twin Anchors Invitational in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Meguro finished 2-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Meguro defeated British Columbia's Brenda Garvey 4-3, then went on to lose 8-3 against Jennifer Gerow (Vernon, BC). Meguro lost 5-4 to Jolene Campbell (Regina, SK) where Meguro responded with a 6-5 win over British Columbia's Kirsten Fox. Meguro went on to lose 6-4 against Bernard in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Twin Anchors Invitational Championship title, Meguro earned 27.040 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque. For week of the event schedule, Meguro did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Meguro ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
