John Shuster (Duluth, MN) finished 2-3 in the 24-team qualifying round. . Shuster lost 6-4 to Mike Pozihun (Thunder Bay, ON) where Shuster responded with a 7-1 win over Derrick Casper (Green Bay, WI). Shuster went on to lose 6-4 against Geoff Goodland (St. Paul, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
