In their opening game, Brandon lost 8-3 to Denis Belanger (Toronto, ON), droppimg another game, 9-2 to Rob Rumfeldt (Guelph, ON) where Brandon responded with a 7-2 win over Ontario's Dale Matchett. Brandon went on to lose 7-4 against Chris Galbraith (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
