Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) qualified for the 2011 Challenge Casino Lac Leamy playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-4 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste. Marie, ON). of the 2011 Challenge Casino Lac Leamy in Buckingham, Quebec, Canada;

Gushue finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushue defeated Ian Fitzner-Leblanc (Halifax, NS) 7-5, then won 5-2 against Mike Harris (Oakville, ON). Gushue went on to lose 7-3 against Jean-Michel Menard (Gatineau/Levis, PQ). Gushue responded with a 7-1 win over Brett Gallant (Charlottetown, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.
