In their opening game, Privivkova defeated Valerie Sweeting (Edmonton, AB) 7-6, then won 6-2 against Desirée Schmidt (Vernon, BC) and 8-2 against Nicole Backe (Vancouver, BC). Privivkova won 10-2 against Delia DeJong (Grande Prairie, AB), then won 8-2 against Kristy Lewis (Vancouver, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
