To advance to the championship game, Northern Ontario's Jeff Currie won 6-5 over Craig Brown (Madison, WI) in the semifinals of the 2011 St. Paul Cash Spiel in St. Paul; and won 7-2 over Joe Scharf (Thunder Bay, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 St. Paul Cash Spiel in St. Paul;

In their opening game, Northern Ontario's Jeff Currie defeated Randy Cumming (Mankato, MN) 5-1, then won 7-5 against Eric Fenson (Bemidji, MN) and 7-2 against Adam Kitchens (Devils Lake, ND). Northern Ontario's Jeff Currie won 6-3 against Todd Birr (Mankato, MN). Northern Ontario's Jeff Currie went on to lose 1-0 against Minnesota's John Shuster in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the St. Paul Cash Spiel, Northern Ontario's Jeff Currie take home 3.150 world rankings points along with the $2,627CDN prize.
