Tyler George (Duluth, MN) won 5-3 over Northern Ontario's Jeff Currie in the Final of the St. Paul Cash Spiel, held October 13 - 16, 2011 at the St. Paul Curling Club in St. Paul, . To advance to the championship game, George won 6-5 over Rui Liu (Beijing, CHN) in the semifinals of the 2011 St. Paul Cash Spiel in St. Paul; and won 6-0 over John Benton (Medford, WI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 St. Paul Cash Spiel in St. Paul;
 
George finished 5-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, George defeated Dan Ruehl (Plymouth, MN) 9-0, then won 6-4 against Philip DeVore (Duluth, MN) and 7-3 against Minnesota's Josh Bahr. George won 7-5 against Joe Scharf (Thunder Bay, ON), then won 7-1 against Minnesota's Peter Stolt in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the St. Paul Cash Spiel Championship title, George earned 4.500 world rankings points along with the $4,547CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 32nd place overall with 53.970 total points. George ranks 21st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 22.095 points earned so far this season.
