Brock Virtue (Calgary, AB) lost 5-2 to Jamie King (Edmonton/Calgary, AB) in the Final of the MNP Charity Classic, held October 14 - 17, 2011 at the Medicine Hat Curling Club in Medicine Hat, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Virtue won 7-4 over Markku Uusipaavalniemi (Helsinki, FIN) in the semifinals of the 2011 MNP Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; and won 6-1 over Rick McKague (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 MNP Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada;
 
Virtue finished 5-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Virtue defeated Matthew Blandford (Cold Lake, AB) 6-3, then won 10-4 against Leon Moch (Medicine Hatt, AB) and 6-2 against Darrell McKee (Saskatoon, SK). Virtue went on to lose 7-6 against Scott Bitz (Regina, SK). Virtue responded with a 6-5 win over Robert Schlender (Edmonton, AB). Virtue won 6-4 against Brent Bawel (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the MNP Charity Classic, Virtue take home 11.585 world rankings points along with the $6,500CDN prize, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 22nd place overall with 72.665 total points. Virtue ranks 29th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 16.385 points earned so far this season.
