To advance to the championship game, Switzerland's Mirjam Ott won 7-2 over Bingyu Wang (Harbin, CHN) in the semifinals of the 2011 Credit Suisse Women's Masters Basel in Basel, Switzerland; and won 4-3 over Jackie Lockhart (Edinburgh, SCO) in the quarterfinals.
 
Switzerland's Mirjam Ott finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Switzerland's Mirjam Ott defeated Czech Republic's Anna Kubeskova 9-4, then won 6-3 against Sweden's Anna Hasselborg and 6-3 against Switzerland's Binia Feltscher in their final qualifying round match.
