Margaretha Sigfridsson (Umea, SWE) won 7-3 over Switzerland's Mirjam Ott in the Final of the Credit Suisse Women's Masters Basel, held October 7 - 9, 2011 in Basel, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Sigfridsson won 9-1 over Switzerland's Michele Jaeggi in the semifinals of the 2011 Credit Suisse Women's Masters Basel in Basel, Switzerland; and won 9-1 over Switzerland's Binia Feltscher in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 Credit Suisse Women's Masters Basel in Basel, Switzerland;
 
Sigfridsson finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sigfridsson defeated Finland's Sanna Puustinen 11-0, then won 7-6 against Jackie Lockhart (Edinburgh, SCO) and 6-5 against Czech Republic's Linda Klimova in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Credit Suisse Women's Masters Basel Championship title, Sigfridsson earned 12.800 world rankings points along with the $11,315CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 12th place overall with 90.620 total points.
