Len Rominger (St. Catharines, ON) won 5-4 over Al Hutchinson (Owen Sound, ON) in the Final of the Port Elgin Superspiel, held November 9 - 11, 2012 at the Port Elgin Curling Club in Port Elgin, Canada. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Rominger won 8-7 over Jordan Chandler (Sudbury, NO) to advance to the championship game. of the 2012 Port Elgin Superspiel in Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada;
 
Rominger finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Rominger defeated AJ Schumacher (Walkerton, ON) 7-3, then won 8-3 against Brad Cobean (Port Elgin, ON) and 8-2 against Wade Walsh (Owen Sound, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Port Elgin Superspiel Championship title, Rominger earned 2.500 world rankings points along with the $5,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 378 spots the World Ranking Standings into 222nd place overall with 2.500 total points. Rominger ranks 128th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.500 points earned so far this season.
