Randy Bryden (Regina, SK) lost 5-4 to David Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the MNP Charity Classic, held October 12 - 15, 2012 at the Medicine Hat Curling Club in Medicine Hat, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Bryden won 7-5 over Scott Bitz (Regina, SK) in the semifinals of the 2012 MNP Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; and won 5-4 over Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 MNP Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada;
 
Bryden finished 5-2 in the 26-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bryden defeated Justin Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB) 5-3, then went on to lose 6-2 against Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK). Bryden responded with a 10-3 win over Chad Dahlseide (Calgary, AB). Bryden won 7-6 against Matthew Blandford (Calgary, AB), then won 6-1 against Josh Heidt (Kerrobert, SK). Bryden went on to lose 3-1 against Bitz. Bryden responded with a 6-3 win over Blandford in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the MNP Charity Classic, Bryden take home 8.225 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN prize, moving up 18 spots the World Ranking Standings into 51st place overall with 24.925 total points. Bryden ranks 45th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 9.500 points earned so far this season.
