Shelly Kinney (New Westminster, BC) finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kinney lost 5-3 to Minnesota's Alexandra Carlson, then responded with a 5-4 win over Minnesota's Cassie Potter. Kinney won 8-3 against Margie Smith (St Paul, MN). Kinney went on to lose 5-4 against Minnesota's Cory Christensen. Kinney responded with a 6-3 win over Joyance Meechai (New York, NY) in their final qualifying round match.
