Smith went on to lose 8-3 against Shelly Kinney (New Westminster, BC). Smith responded with a 9-5 win over Minnesota's Alexandra Carlson. Smith went on to lose 6-5 against Minnesota's Cassie Potter in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the St. Paul Cash Spiel, Smith take home 1.750 world rankings points along with the $1,766CDN prize, moving up 28 spots the World Ranking Standings into 133rd place overall with 2.813 total points.
