Stuart Thompson (Halifax, NS) run at the 2013 M&M Meat Shops Junior Curling Championship came to an end in the semifinals with a 9-4 loss to Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2013 M&M Meat Shops Junior Curling Championship in Fort McMurray, Alberta;
 
Thompson finished 8-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thompson defeated Zach Warkentin (Thunder Bay, NONT) 10-3, then went on to lose 11-4 against Josh Barry (Fredericton, NB). Thompson responded with a 11-5 win over Adam Boland (Gander, NL). Thompson won 4-3 against Dunstone, then won 5-3 against Felix Asselin (Montreal, PQ) and 9-2 against Daniel Murray (Yellowknife, NT). Thompson won 9-4 against Brady Scharback (Saskatoon, SK), then won 6-4 against Tyler Klymchuk (Langley, BC). Thompson went on to lose 7-5 against Thomas Scoffin (Edmonton, AB). Thompson responded with a 7-5 win over Aaron Squires (St. Thomas, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Thompson earned 4.000 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the M&M Meat Shops Junior Curling Championship, moving up 117 spots the World Ranking Standings into 188th place overall with 5.125 total points. Thompson ranks 139th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.750 points earned so far this season.
