To advance to the championship game, Dunstone won 9-4 over Stuart Thompson (Halifax, NS) in the semifinals of the 2013 M&M Meat Shops Junior Curling Championship in Fort McMurray, Alberta;
 
Dunstone finished 7-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dunstone defeated Daniel Murray (Yellowknife, NT) 12-0, then went on to lose 7-4 against Adam Boland (Gander, NL). Dunstone responded with a 10-4 win over Zach Warkentin (Thunder Bay, NONT). Dunstone won 8-2 against Felix Asselin (Montreal, PQ). Dunstone went on to lose 4-3 against Thompson. Dunstone responded with a 10-5 win over Josh Barry (Fredericton, NB). Dunstone won 8-7 against Tyler Klymchuk (Langley, BC), then won 8-6 against Aaron Squires (St. Thomas, ON). Dunstone went on to lose 8-3 against Scoffin. Dunstone responded with a 6-5 win over Brady Scharback (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the M&M Meat Shops Junior Curling Championship Championship title, Dunstone earned 8.000 world rankings points, moving up 178 spots the World Ranking Standings into 139th place overall with 9.000 total points.
