Lawton finished 4-0 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lawton defeated Allison MacInnes (Kamloops, BC) 6-3, then won 9-5 against Barb Spencer (Winnipeg, MB) and 8-1 against Cassie Potter (St. Paul, MN). Lawton won 6-5 against Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Lawton earned 20.000 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic, remaining in 2nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 236.200 total points.
