King won 5-4 against Matthew Blandford (Calgary, AB), then won 6-1 against Randy Woytowich (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
King earned 4.500 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Medicine Hat Charity Classic, remaining in 34th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 43.570 total points. King ranks 43rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 10.950 points earned so far this season.
