Farnell finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Farnell lost 1-0 to Alanna Routledge (Montreal, QC), then responded with a 9-4 win over Julie Reddick (Toronto, ON). Farnell won 10-1 against Chantal Lalonde (Woodstock, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Challenge Chateau Cartier de Gatineau Championship title, Farnell earned 6.250 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 51st place overall with 18.915 total points. Farnell ranks 46th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.500 points earned so far this season.
