Hastings finished 3-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hastings defeated Jennifer Spencer (Guelph, ON) 7-3, then won 8-4 against Lindsay Miners (Sault Ste Marie, ). Hastings went on to lose 7-4 against Heather Graham (King, ON). Hastings responded with a 5-4 win over Cathy Auld (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the KW Fall Classic Championship title, Hastings earned 9.550 world rankings points along with the $3,450CDN first prize cheque, moving up 9 spots the World Ranking Standings into 36th place overall with 28.923 total points.
