Montford finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Montford defeated Sarah Anderson (Philadelphia, PA) 10-4, then won 8-3 against Kimberly Wapola (Saint Paul, MN) and 4-0 against Minnesota's Courtney George. Montford went on to lose 6-5 against Jenna Haag (Janesville, WI). Montford responded with a 7-6 win over Maureen Stolt (St. Paul, MN) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the St. Paul Cash Spiel Championship title, Montford earned 3.250 world rankings points along with the $3,091CDN first prize cheque, moving up 30 spots the World Ranking Standings into 90th place overall with 6.361 total points. Montford ranks 48th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.250 points earned so far this season.
