To advance to the championship game, Grassie won 5-3 over Scott Ramsay (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2014 Mother Club Fall Curling Classic in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; and won 7-2 over Ray Baker (Dauphin, MB) in the quarterfinals.
 
Grassie finished 5-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Grassie defeated Cliff Beaulieu (Winnipeg, MB) 6-1, then won 9-4 against Baker and 5-3 against Jared Kolomaya (Winnipeg, MB). Grassie won 7-3 against Richard Muntain (Pinawa, MB), then won 8-1 against Steen Sigurdson (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Mother Club Fall Curling Classic Championship title, Grassie earned 3.750 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 24 spots the World Ranking Standings into 77th place overall with 11.800 total points. Grassie ranks 37th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.750 points earned so far this season.
