Jake Vukich (Bemidji, MN) qualified for the 2014 Curl Mesabi Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-3 against Al Hackner (Thunder Bay, ON).

Vukich finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Vukich lost 6-2 to Lyle Sieg (Seattle, WA), then responded with a 7-5 win over Minnesota's Peter Stolt.
