To advance to the championship game, Wisconsin's Erika Brown won 7-4 over Brett Barber (Biggar, SK) in the semifinals of the 2014 Curl Mesabi Classic in Eveleth, Minnesota, United States;
 
Wisconsin's Erika Brown finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wisconsin's Erika Brown defeated Kate Bert (St. Paul, MN) 8-3, then won 8-1 against Cory Christensen (Blaine, USA) and 3-2 against Kendra Lilly (Thunder Bay, ON). Wisconsin's Erika Brown went on to lose 7-1 against Fleury in their final qualifying round match.
