Sean O'Connor (Calgary, AB) won 3-2 over Scott Bitz (Regina, SK) in the Final of the Medicine Hat Charity Classic, held October 17 - 20, 2014 at the Medicine Hat Curling Club in Medicine Hat, Canada. To advance to the championship game, O'Connor won 6-2 over Matthew Blandford (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals of the 2014 Medicine Hat Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; and won 6-5 over Wade White (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Medicine Hat Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada;
 
O'Connor finished 4-1 in the 19-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, O'Connor defeated Mario Freiberger (Zug, SUI) 5-4, then went on to lose 6-0 against Blandford. O'Connor responded with a 5-4 win over Lloyd Hill (Calgary, AB). O'Connor won 5-3 against Maury Geib (Medicine Hat, AB), then won 5-3 against James Pahl (Sherwood Park, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Medicine Hat Charity Classic Championship title, O'Connor earned 6.750 world rankings points along with the $9,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 76 spots the World Ranking Standings into 109th place overall with 9.344 total points. O'Connor ranks 48th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 6.750 points earned so far this season.
