To advance to the championship game, Michel won 6-4 over Thomas Loevold (Oslo, NOR) in the semifinals of the 2014 Swiss Cup Basel in Basel, Switzerland; and won 6-3 over Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Swiss Cup Basel in Basel, Switzerland;
 
Michel finished 5-2 in the 40-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Michel defeated Alexander Baumann (Fuessen, GER) 8-3, then won 7-3 against Mario Freiberger (Zug, SUI).
