Aku Kauste (Helsinki, FIN) won 7-6 over David Sik (Prague, CZE) in the Final of the Edinburgh International, held November 7 - 9, 2014 at the Murrayfield Curling Club in Edinburgh, Scotland. To advance to the championship game, Kauste won 5-3 over Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED) in the semifinals of the 2014 Edinburgh International in Edinburgh, Scotland, Scotland; and won 8-5 over Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, UK) in the quarterfinals.
 
Kauste finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kauste defeated Scotland's Lee McCleary 7-6, then won 6-3 against Scotland's Graeme Black and 5-4 against Hungary's Zsolt Kiss. Kauste won 7-6 against Sweden's Fredrik Nyman. Kauste went on to lose 8-3 against Kyle Smith (Perth, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Edinburgh International Championship title, Kauste earned 4.750 world rankings points along with the $7,214CDN first prize cheque, moving up 45 spots the World Ranking Standings into 103rd place overall with 10.632 total points. Kauste ranks 80th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.750 points earned so far this season.
