Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, UK) qualified for the 2014 Edinburgh International playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-5 against Aku Kauste (Helsinki, FIN).

Brewster finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brewster defeated David Sik (Prague, CZE) 8-6, then won 9-1 against Markku Uusipaavalniemi (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Brewster won 9-6 against Slovakia's Juraj Gallo in their final qualifying round match.
