MacLeod responded with a 6-5 win over Paul Dexter (Halifax, NS). MacLeod won 6-5 against Robert Mayhew (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Nova Scotia Tankard Championship title, MacLeod earned 5.600 world rankings points, moving up 50 spots the World Ranking Standings into 127th place overall with 11.704 total points. MacLeod ranks 99th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.625 points earned so far this season.
