Tallon won 6-4 against Wayne Sangster (Truro, NS). Tallon went on to lose 6-4 against Glen Hansen (Hinton, AB). Tallon responded with a 9-4 win over Glen Despins (Regina, SK). Tallon won 6-1 against Ted Butler (Buckingham, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
