In their opening game, Stevens lost 5-4 to Ontario's Mark Bice, droppimg another game, 5-4 to Mathieu Beaufort (Sorel-Tracy, QC) where Stevens responded with a 7-4 win over Ontario's Mark Kean. Stevens won 7-4 against Pat Simmons (Calgary, AB). Stevens went on to lose 4-3 against Brent MacDougall (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
