Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK) lost 6-4 to Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the HDF Insurance Shoot-Out, held September 17 - 20, 2015 in Edmonton, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Lawton won 6-3 over Chelsea Carey (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals of the 2015 HDF Insurance Shoot-Out in Edmonton, Alberta; and won 6-2 over Michelle Englot (Regina, SK) in the quarterfinals.
 
Lawton finished 5-0 in the 22-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lawton defeated Kristie Moore (Regina, SK) 6-5, then won 6-3 against Nadine Chyz (Calgary/Red Deer, AB) and 5-3 against Sherry Anderson (Delisle, SK). Lawton won 5-4 against Nancy Martin (Martensville, SK), then won 6-2 against Kristen Streifel (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the HDF Insurance Shoot-Out, Lawton take home 30.444 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN prize, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 27th place overall with 84.474 total points. Lawton ranks 13th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 36.017 points earned so far this season.
