In their opening game, Lawton defeated Kristie Moore (Regina, SK) 6-5, then won 6-3 against Nadine Chyz (Calgary/Red Deer, AB) and 5-3 against Sherry Anderson (Delisle, SK). Lawton won 5-4 against Nancy Martin (Martensville, SK), then won 6-2 against Kristen Streifel (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the HDF Insurance Shoot-Out, Lawton take home 30.444 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN prize, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 27th place overall with 84.474 total points.
