Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) won 9-5 over Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) in the Final of the Tim Hortons Brier, held March 5 - 13, 2016 in Ottawa, Ontario.
 
Koe finished 8-3 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe lost 5-4 to Glenn Howard (Toronto, ON), then responded with a 10-4 win over Mike Kennedy (Moncton, NB). Koe won 10-4 against Adam Casey (Summerside, PEI), then won 8-7 against Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT) and 9-4 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Koe went on to lose 4-3 against Gushue. Koe lost 8-3 to Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) where Koe responded with a 7-2 win over Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC). Koe won 9-4 against Jean-Michel Menard (Gatineau, QC), then won 8-3 against Pat Simmons (Calgary, CAN) and 7-5 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Tim Hortons Brier Championship title, Koe earned 88.678 world rankings points, remaining in 4th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 53.001 after improving upon their best so far this season. Koe ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 505.490 points earned so far this season.
