After advancing directly to the championship game, Chad Stevens (Halifax, NS) lost 6-5 to Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS) in the Final of the Nova Scotia Tankard, held January 19 - 24, 2016 at the Mayflower Curling Club in Halifax, Canada.
 
Stevens finished 7-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stevens defeated Brent MacDougall (Halifax, NS) 7-6, then won 7-5 against Glen MacLeod (Halifax, NS) and 8-1 against Jamie Danbrook (Halifax, NS). Stevens won 6-5 against Shawn Adams (Halifax, NS), then won 6-2 against Paul Dexter (Halifax, NS) and 6-5 against Murphy. Stevens won 6-5 against Stuart Thompson (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Nova Scotia Tankard, Stevens take home 10.725 world rankings points, remaining in 42nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 9.965 after improving upon their best so far this season. Stevens ranks 40th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 80.309 points earned so far this season.
