Beadle finished 3-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Beadle defeated Dale Gibbs (St. Paul, MN) 7-6, then went on to lose 8-2 against Tim Funk (Madison, WI). Beadle responded with a 7-6 win over Dave Lemke (Medford, WI). Beadle won 11-5 against Ken Towne (Indianapolis, IN). Beadle went on to lose 6-4 against Lyle Sieg (Seattle, WA) in their final qualifying round match.
