Eve Muirhead (Perth, SCO) won 8-3 over Alina Paetz (Zurich, SUI) in the Final of the Glynhill Ladies International, held January 19 - 22, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland. To advance to the championship game, Muirhead won 7-5 over Ursi Hegner (Uzwil, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2017 Glynhill Ladies International in Glasgow, Scotland; and won 8-3 over Binia Feltscher (Flims, SUI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Glynhill Ladies International in Glasgow, Scotland;
 
Muirhead finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Muirhead defeated Oona Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN) 8-4, then went on to lose 4-1 against Melanie Barbezat (Biel, SUI). Muirhead responded with a 7-2 win over Marta Szeliga-Frynia (Lodz, POL). Muirhead won 6-3 against Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg, SWE), then won 9-3 against Paetz in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Glynhill Ladies International Championship title, Muirhead earned 38.900 world rankings points along with the $6,591CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 5th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 34.663 after improving upon their best so far this season. Muirhead ranks 7th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 261.330 points earned so far this season.
