Richard Krell (Waterloo, ON) won 5-4 over Ontario's Ryan LeDrew in the Final of the KW Fall Classic, held September 22 - 25, 2016 in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Krell won 6-2 over Connor Duhaime (Barrie, ON) in the semifinals of the 2016 KW Fall Classic in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario; and won 6-3 over Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON) in the quarterfinals.
 
Krell finished 3-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Krell defeated Ontario's Rob Ainsley 9-2, then won 9-5 against Ben Bevan (Whitby, ON) and 7-3 against Rob Retchless (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the KW Fall Classic Championship title, Krell earned 19.502 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque. For week 6 of the event schedule, Krell did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Krell ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
