To advance to the championship game, Bernard won 7-3 over Kelsey Rocque (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2016 Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada; and won 6-1 over Cathy Overton-Clapham (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Bernard finished 4-1 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bernard lost 11-3 to Rocque, then responded with a 7-4 win over Kayte Gyles (Surrey, BC). Bernard won 7-4 against Karla Thompson (Kamloops, BC), then won 10-4 against Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg, MB) and 6-5 against Min Ji Kim (gyeongido, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic, Bernard take home 41.529 world rankings points along with the $6,900CDN prize, moving up 116 spots the World Ranking Standings into 71st place overall with 44.182 total points. Bernard ranks 23rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 41.529 points earned so far this season.
