Thompson finished 4-1 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thompson defeated Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg, MB) 6-5, then went on to lose 7-4 against Cheryl Bernard (Calgary, AB). Thompson responded with a 6-4 win over Min Ji Kim (gyeongido, KOR). Thompson won 10-1 against Kayte Gyles (Surrey, BC), then won 6-1 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Thompson earned 32.091 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic, moving up 16 spots the World Ranking Standings into 43rd place overall with 86.410 total points.
