Isabelle Maillard (Uitikon, SUI) lost 3-2 to Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER) in the Final of the Riga International Challenge, held October 28 - 30, 2016 in Riga, Latvia.
 
Maillard finished 2-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Maillard lost 5-3 to Maile Molder (Tallinn, EST), then responded with a 6-2 win over Madara Bremane (Riga, LAT). Maillard won 4-2 against Anne Malmi (Hyvinkaa, FIN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Riga International Challenge, Maillard take home 10.821 world rankings points along with the $1,473CDN prize, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 67th place overall with 58.087 total points. Maillard ranks 92nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 12.036 points earned so far this season.
