To advance to the championship game, Bohn won 8-4 over Dennis Bohn (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2016 MCT Championships in Dauphin, Manitoba; and won 5-2 over Rob Atkins (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals.

Bohn finished 3-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bohn defeated Butch Mouck (Minnedosa, MB) 8-3, then won 6-3 against Michael Johnson (Winnipeg, MB). Bohn went on to lose 6-5 against Atkins. Bohn lost 4-2 to Richard Muntain (Pinawa, MB) where Bohn responded with a 8-4 win over Ray Baker (Dauphin, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the MCT Championships Championship title, Bohn earned 21.398 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 43rd place overall with 154.209 total points. Bohn ranks 36th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 77.266 points earned so far this season.
